Fantasy Art Newsletter Launched - 19 January 2008
As promised, the Fantasy
Art Newsletter is now available to subscribe to. It was
always one of the aims when starting Fantasy Art Links to
branch out into providing a newsletter service as well and
we are pleased to be able to offer this service. We will be
featuring the latest news and reviews of fantasy art and artists
as well as having regular giveaways for subscribers.
To celebrate the launch, all new subscribers will be entered
into a prize draw for a mystery fantasy art prize. The winner
will be announced on this site and will be selected randomly
from all subscribers once per Quarter. The decision of the
judges is final and will be communicated to all subscribers
in the March edition of the newsletter.
Happy New Year from Fantasy Art Links - 01 January 2008
2007 was a year of massive growth for Fantasy Art Links and
this trend looks set to continue in 2008. We are now receiving
considerable amounts of traffic and in some countries are
ranking higher in Google than very well known sites like Wikipedia
for the search term "Fantasy Art". We expect the
trend of progressively better search engine rankings to continue
as more quality Fantasy Art Links are listed on the site.
We are looking at the possibility of introducing sponsored
listings in the coming year which will guarantee the top spot
in a certain category in exchange for a fee. We have been
reluctant to offer this until we have had large amounts of
traffic as we want to be able to offer good value for money
to potential advertisers.
Growing Quickly - 16 July 2007
A week on from the official launch of Fantasy Art Links,
it is good to see so many fantasy artists and shops submitting
to the directory already. It is anticipated that the site
will continue to grow quickly, especially once the next Google
update is done with and the number of links to this site is
taken into consideration. This should mean we get better search
engine rankings and therefore more traffic.
We also plan to periodically check that links back to this
site are still live on all the sites listed and we have link
checking software in place to take the hassle out of doing
this.
Official Launch - 9 July 2007
The official launch of Fantasy Art Links was on 9 July 2007
though work had been ongoing for some time on the website
infrastructure, based on other link directory projects undertaken
in the past.
